About Defend With Alice

Why the Name?

If you've landed on our site, you might be wondering: "Where on earth did they come up with a name like Defend With Alice?" Here's the story.

A few years ago, my cousin was expecting her first child and wanted an old Italian name. I started exploring options and came across Alessia, which means "defender" in Italian. It struck me as a perfect name for a company dedicated to helping people defend themselves online. I eventually simplified it to "Defend With Alice"  and it stuck. (My cousin ended up having a boy named Mike, so the Italian name idea was set aside  but the company name lived on!)

Who We Are

I'm Chris, and I've spent nearly three decades working in I.T. When I started my career, cybersecurity was a niche concern mostly talked about in corporate boardrooms. Today, it affects everyone  from large enterprises to everyday individuals like you and me.

Over the years, I've seen firsthand how spammers, fake tech support scams, and identity thieves have devastated real people's finances and peace of mind. I created Defend With Alice because I believe no one should have to become a computer expert just to stay safe online.

What We Believe

We believe your time is valuable. The average person lives for about 39,998,160 minutes  and we don't think you should spend many of them worrying about cybercriminals.

Our approach is simple: we provide clear, concise, free video lessons  each no more than 5 minutes long  so you can gain the knowledge you need in the time it takes for a lunch break. We commit to keeping our library to no more than 10 videos at any given time, keeping things focused and digestible.

Our goal is to equip you with the essential tools to recognize threats and protect your money  without overwhelming you. Together, we can make sure not a single cent of yours ends up in the wrong hands.
